Natural Family Portraits // Berwick Lifestyle Photography
Well what a great little family I got to photograph in the beautiful Gippsland countryside in Ruby. From the second I rolled up the long winding driveway and was greeted by grandma Yvonne in her 4wd, with her cheeky smile and a “Jump in and I’ll show you around” I knew this was going to be fun. Bumping around the farm with this amazing matriarch of the family I got a great feeling for what she wanted and the relationship they have with their kids and grand kids.
We had dogs and we had motorbikes, tractors, old bedford trucks, rolling hills and everything in between. The kids just had a ball. Running, laughing and just being kids. The stories about growing up on the farm that were shared by the adult kids made me wistful and envious and really want to encapture that freedom in this extended family shoot.
The colours and rustic tones in this shoot just make my heart sing. When you talk to clients about clothing and style and they just get what you are saying it’s a glorious thing. I chatted to daughter Sarah a lot about outfits, feel and what they wanted to achieve on the day and I couldn’t have asked for a more organised amazingly bunch of clients. Little Loves Stories is all about capturing memories and moments and I think these ones will be cherished for a long time.
